For Parents

TeamCFA provides parents and students the choice of a rigorous curriculum and high expectations of involvement by all stakeholders in the school. Parents are invited to become involved in their child’s educational experience as well as encouraged to volunteer in their school in capacities commensurate with the parent’s talents and available time.

The Core Knowledge Sequence, the main component of our K-8 curriculum, was carefully chosen to enable teachers to partner with parents to guide their children toward a higher plane of academic achievement. TeamCFA believes that if all children acquire a solid base of knowledge in the early years of their education, they will be best positioned for a high level of academic achievement when they attend college.

Parents as partners in the educational process is a key component to the success of our schools. Parents becoming resources for one another is a loftier goal at TeamCFA. To that end, we have created this section of the web site as a portal to information critical to parents. We invite you to participate by submitting tips that you think would be particularly useful to fellow TeamCFA parents. It could be study tips, techniques for helping your student with phonics or math, or advice about summer activities that you found useful in preparing your child for the next grade. Becoming an active participant in this web site will help to develop an invaluable resource that can benefit you and like-minded parents across our network.
