The Team Challenge

There are five basic operating principles that outline the core philosophy of TeamCFA. A partnership between the students, parents, teachers, and administrators adhering to these principles forms the foundation for success:

  • Contribute More: through a commitment to outstanding moral character

Self-discipline, honest hard work, leadership, citizenship, compassion, courage, and responsibility are the cornerstones of character development. TeamCFA follows the three R's: Respect for self, Respect for others, Responsibility for all of your actions. Students learn to make choices that benefit themselves and society at large.

  • Desire More: through a commitment to academic growth

Goals in all areas are set high. Mastery in all academic subject areas as outlined by The Core Knowledge Sequence is expected. An effective system of accountability is in place to ensure that students are performing to their highest possible abilities. Communication and assessment is constant. Higher education is the goal of every student.

  • Do More: through a commitment to creating a sense of community

We will seek out and encourage parental involvement at all levels of the program. Student service projects are required. Students shall be neat and tidy in appearance and adhere to a dress code. Students assume responsibilities at school and at home.

  • Learn More: through a commitment to core curriculum

Academics are guided by clear and attainable world-class standards. Students mastery is achieved through scientifically based, content-rich curricula that impart Core Knowledge, essential learning skills, and a positive disciplined attitude, all laying a foundation for the highest academic, social, ethical and civic standards

  • Expect More: through a commitment to measurable results

Standardized tests, portfolio reviews, and individual projects measure student progress. TeamCFA students, faculty, and staff will be supported and evaluated to ensure that each is doing his part in the mission of successfully educating each and every student.
