The Team Commitment

A contract of accountability in the educational process

What follows is a sampling of what to expect in the parent/teacher/student Team Commitment contract. Our schools typically include these in the handbook and require a new signature at the beginning of each school year.

• Sampling of a Parent's Team Commitment

  • I will assure that my child arrives to school on time every day, ready to learn
  • I will limit television and video games during the week and encourage time for reading, studying, and family time
  • I will provide a suitable time and place for homework each night
  • I make this commitment to my child, myself and the school to encourage the highest level of academic excellence as possible

• Sampling of a Student's Team Commitment:

  • I will arrive at school on time every day ready to learn
  • I will adhere to the school dress code
  • I will treat teachers and classmates with the utmost respect and conduct myself in a manner that enhances the learning and social atmosphere at school.
  • I make this commitment on behalf of myself, my parents, my teachers, and fellow classmates in the name of my education and therefore my future.

   

• Sampling of a Teacher's Team Commitment

  • I will arrive at school every day on time and ready to teach
  • I will make myself available to students and parents and earnestly assist in any way I can
  • I will provide an atmosphere that is safe for discovery and learning
  • I make this commitment to myself, my students and parents to ensure that all stuents may achieve at the highest level of academic excellence
